Terry Albert
Terry Albert is an animal artist and writer specializing in pet-related subjects. Albert's art has been exhibited in the art show at the Dog Show and the AKC Museum of the Dog. She also has had commissions from dog breed clubs and private collectors. Her writing credits include local and national publications and web sites. She has won several Maxwell Awards from the Dog Writer's Association of America for her artwork and writing, and served for several years as their annual writing competition chairperson.
Albert received a bachelor's degree from Whittier College and continued her education at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. She has served on the board of directors for Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue, the Humane Society of Seattle/King County, as an active volunteer for Collie and Labrador rescues and is a founding member of Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue. She volunteers as a Reserve Park Ranger in the mounted patrol unit in Poway, Calif. In 2002, she received Channel 10 San Diego's Leadership Award for her volunteer work.
She currently works from her home, which she shares with her five dogs, three horses, two cats and two box turtles.
