James Sokolowski, DVM, PhD

Dr. James Sokolowski is a veterinarian with 40 years in the pet industry. He has five degrees from the University of Illinois:

• BS in Agriculture
• MS in Animal Science
• BS in Veterinary Medicine
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
• PhD with major in nutritional biochemistry and minor in reproductive physiology

Dr. Sokolowski has spent time in the pharmaceutical industry where he developed an oral reproduction control product for dogs. He has also worked in the pet food industry managing product development. Dr. Sokolowski has been published extensively in professional journals and text books and wrote a pet care column for a national magazine. He also has appeared extensively on radio and TV including CNN, Fox, ABC and other national and local radio and TV programs. Dr. Sokolowski is a recipent of veterinary professional awards for his contributions to the veterinary profession.

Dr. Sokolowski lives in Hendersonville, North Carolina with his wife, Barbara and Norwich Terrier, Wilson. He is an avid woodcarver and also provides the mounting, matting and custom framing for Barbara's fabric art.
