Audrey Pavia

Audrey Pavia is an award-winning freelance writer specializing in animal subjects. She has authored hundreds of articles on dogs and cats for a variety of publications, including Dog Fancy, Dog World, Popular Dogs, Puppies USA, Cat Fancy and Catnip. She has written five books on dogs, including The Labrador Retriever Handbook (Barrons).

In addition to her experience as a freelance writer, she is also a former Managing Editor of Dog Fancy magazine, former Senior Editor of the American Kennel Club Gazette, and former Editor of Horse Illustrated. She is also the author of Horses for Dummies, and several other equine books.

Audrey and her husband live in Norco, California, with a dog, four cats, a rabbit and two horses.
