Reaction to Vaccination?
My pup recently got her 2 yr vaccinations - lepto, and bordtedella (sp?) She has been vomiting yellow bile for the past 2 mornings since she got these - could it be a side effect? I have been feeding her a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken in small quantities, but she is still throwing up the yellow bile (no food) every morning. Any suggestions? My vet's office is closed today, I intend to call them tomorrow. Wondering what I can do today to make her feel better?

LolasMom, sounds like you are doing a great job with the bland diet. Vomiting can sometimes be a vaccine reaction. When you are able to reach your vet office, they may want to see her just to be safe.
It's also a good idea to make sure they make a special note of the incident in her chart. Next time she has vaccines, it may be recommended that they be separated out over a couple of week period.
For today just keeping her quiet and continueing the bland diet are probably your best bet. If a dog is vomiting or has an upset stomach, a discomfort medication such as asprin may upset her stomach even more.
If your dog seems to be getting worse there is usually a vet on call in most areas or an emergency clinic you could call to get some immediate help. Good luck and I hope Lola is feeling better soon!

Thanks for your feedback Marcie! Little Miss Lola didn't get sick this morning, thank goodness. I did speak to the vet, and they're having me keep her on the bland diet for a few more days, and give her a little Pepcid AC to help relieve things. We're definitely going to spread things out next time. I really appreciate your response!
