Puppy Paw Turned Red

I have a question, my little puppy’s (4 month old Miniature Schnauzer) paw pad was black and since we walked on paved sidewalks now her pad is pink/red at the bottom. It doesn’t seem to hurt her but it looks hurtful to us.
