I suspect my dog has been rat poisoned. I cannot get him to the vet until tomorrow. What can I do for the next 18 hours?

I cannot get my dog to the vet for 18 hours. He cannot hold nothing down. He refuses to eat. He shows signs of being rat poisoned. What can I do until then? Do they sell vitamin K for dogs over the counter?

Rachel, sorry to hear your dog is so sick. Unfortunately there is not much to do from home. Your dog needs immediate medical attention. You may find vitamin K over the counter but it would be oral and your dog would not be able to keep it down. In this case at the vet, they would use an injection.
If you are unable to find a 24 hour emergency vet, then I would recommend being in the parking lot of your vet when they open. Good luck and I hope your do is ok.

I got to the emergency vet that day. Doo spent three long days in and out ot the hospital. He had stomach problems in the past, and they had just caught up with him. Doo Doo Jackson was born November 13, 2000. He was sent from Heaven. He was my eyes and ears when I slept for eight long years. He knew me more then I knew myself. He was the most cunning and amazing animal you would ever come across. December 30, 2008, Doo Doo and I said our goodbyes. He saved me in so many ways. No love could match him. He was just a big ball of warmth that I could not have imagined ever passing up. Doo, I want thank you for being my heart. I love you.
