Chronic Diarrhea

Tigger is a 3 yr. old ginger tabby whom I love dearly. She has had diarrhea for so long I can't even remember when it started! She's been to the vet twice about it, nothing works, and I can't afford more vet visits.

What about probiotics? Would it be worth requesting some from the vet without a prescription, thus avoiding the office visit fee? It's impossible to give Tigger pills, darn near impossible to give her syringes of liquid, but the stuff you dab on the paws seems to get past her defenses, as long as it tastes good. I bought some probiotic stuff from Petsmart that smells so bad to all the cats that they run from the bottle!

Any suggestions would be so appreciated! Chris & Tigger
