Cat throwing up and pulling out fur
Written by doulos_1014
My cat's been pulling out chunks of fur while grooming, and he also vomits almost every time he eats. I've tried transitioning between wet and dry food, and ive also checked him for fleas, which he has none.

Doulos, it sounds like your cat is doing a bit of excessive grooming. Pulling out fur can be a sign of an underlying medical condition or a behavior issue as a result of some sort of stress or change in the cats life.
The vomiting you are describing may be a medical problem, an allergy to a food or even hairballs as a result of ingesting some extra fur he is pulling out. A complete physical at the vet would rule in or out a medical problem and give you a place to start to hopefully figure out why your cat wants to pull out his fur.
If you determine the excessive grooming is as a result of stress and anxiety, it may be helpful to try and spend some extra time with your kitty playing, patting and brushing him. Some new toys or a scratching device may also help distract kitty from over grooming.
I wish you good luck and we would love to hear how your kitty is doing!
